Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Electrical Technician for Bodangora Wind Farm, near Dubbo, NSW. You will maintain and troubleshoot GE wind turbines, work with high voltage switching, and ensure safety and reporting standards are met.

The role involves climbing turbines, performing inspections, and supporting major maintenance activities across a renewable energy site. Local residence and a valid Australian work right are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician (NSW) and Electrical Supervisor
• HV switching certifications (HVSO and HVSC)
• Proficient in fault finding on electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment
• Proficient with computer systems for monitoring work and documentation
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Current unrestricted NSW/Australian driver’s license
• Capable of tasks at heights and physical work
• Willing to travel to other sites and have Australia working rights

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines and site infrastructure
• Follow GE manuals and work instructions to perform tasks and inspections
• Conduct maintenance, fault finding, and HV switching operations as required
• Participate in annual maintenance, retrofit works, and major component exchanges
• Use GE software tools to maintain reports and submit technical queries
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and report issues promptly
• Make conformance decisions after inspections
• Be on-call for after-hours or weekend work as directed
• Embrace a 37.5-hour work week with overtime opportunities
