Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Travelling Wind Farm Service Technician to provide critical operational support across our national fleet.

You will lead on-site maintenance, troubleshoot complex electrical assets, and serve as a liaison among site management, engineering, and clients to maximize turbine availability and fleet performance. The role requires frequent travel to wind farm sites and strict adherence to EHS, QA/QC, and SWMS policies, with on-call duties including weekends and nights as

Qualifications

Must hold a registered Workers License Electrical (A-Grade or equivalent).
Experience in Onshore Wind or heavy industry (5+ years preferred).
Ability to perform high voltage switching and operate under site procedures.
Strong fault-finding skills for electrical and hydraulic assets.
Willingness to travel >65% of the year and work in remote locations.

Responsibilities

Interpret GEV manuals, specs, and bulletins; complete tasks per work instructions.
Perform maintenance and fault finding on assets to keep turbine availability high.
Act as site HVOA Delegate when required and supervise electrical work.
Perform high voltage switching per site procedures and manage electrical installations.
Maintain reports using GEV software and collaborate with Engineering and Service teams.
