Job summary

Converge International in Canberra seeks registered Psychologists and Social Workers to provide critical incident and crisis counselling support to client organisations, using Psychological First Aid and trauma-focused interventions. Role includes on-site and incident-related work, with a requirement for 3–5 years of relevant experience and a current driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling.
• Minimum 3 years trauma management and/or relevant consultancy services.
• Training in Psychological First Aid and registration with the appropriate body.
• tertiary qualification in Behavioural Sciences required; driver’s licence and own vehicle may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide Critical Incident Response Services (emergency response, planned support, disaster response).
• Deliver one-on-one trauma support and group sessions.
• Inform organisations of themes, recommendations, or process improvements.
• Deliver Employee Counselling, Training and Consulting Services as required.
