Job summary

Converge International in Canberra seeks committed trauma management specialists to support diverse clients through critical incidents and trauma counselling. You'll use Psychological First Aid and trauma interventions to assist individuals and organisations during incidents and change.

The role offers on-site and phone-based support, with opportunities for professional development, flexible working arrangements, and competitive remuneration.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling.
• Minimum 3 years trauma management and/or relevant consultancy services
• Ability to assess workplace issues and provide solution-focused advice to achieve outcomes
• Passion to help people and ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management, report writing and a can-do attitude
• Experience delivering People Assist services (EAP, RRS)
• High level negotiation and facilitation skills
• Work collaboratively with all stakeholders
• 3-5 years of relevant experience as a psychologist or social worker is desirable; training in Psychological First Aid; driver’s licence and own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Provide Critical Incident Response Services using Psychological First Aid and trauma interventions.
• Support organisations during incidents or change with recommended themes and improvements.
• Deliver Employee Counselling, Training and Consulting Services.
• Inform organisations of themes, recommendations, or internal process improvements.
• Deliver on-site and phone-based trauma support and group sessions.
