Job summary

The Energy Community and Supports is seeking dedicated Youth Support Staff to assist individuals with complex mental health needs in Maroochydore and surrounding areas. You will provide in-home support and community access, while upholding trauma-informed care and professional boundaries.

Ideal candidates have experience with CPTSD, ASD, PDA, and BPD, and are comfortable working with a female client who may present extreme behaviours.

Qualifications

• Strong mental health knowledge and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Experience managing verbal and physical escalations.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support and community access to participants.
• Support families in home environments and dynamics.
• Assist with complex mental health needs and related behaviours.
• Maintain safety planning and risk management during shifts, including respite periods.
