Job summary

The Energy Community and Supports in Maroochydore is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide personal care, in-home support and community access across the Sunshine Coast, including Nirimba to Coolum. Approximately 20 hours per week with shifts between 8am and 8pm, immediate start subject to checks.

You will work with diverse participants with mental health, ABI/TBI, intellectual disability, ASD and neurodegenerative conditions, tailoring support plans, maintaining dignity,

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent required.
• Current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to travel between Nirimba and Coolum for shifts.
• Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening clearance, as applicable.
• First Aid, CPR and infection prevention certificates, or willingness to complete training before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful personal care that protects dignity and choice.
• Assist with transfers and mobility per individual plans.
• Support household tasks, daily routines and community access.
• Engage with participants in their interests and activities.
• Follow individual support plans and document shift notes.
