Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Youth Worker to provide out-of-home care support in Bundaberg. The role focuses on trauma-informed, therapeutic care for children and young people in residential settings, using the CARE model and contributing to stable, nurturing environments.

You will complete reports, build strong relationships with families and communities, and participate in paid professional development such as TCI, CARE, and the Three Pillars of transforming care.

Qualifications

• Hold or be enrolled in a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention
• Or hold a Certificate IV in Human Services, Community Services, Youth Services
• Experience applying CARE Principles in practice
• Ability to work across a 24hr roster

Responsibilities

• Support stable, trauma-informed care for children and young people
• Complete verbal and written reports
• Build positive relationships with families and community
• Maintain a safe and clean home environment
• Attend training (TCI, CARE and Three Pillars) paid by the employer
