Job summary

Carinity Yeppoon is seeking a Youth Worker to support at‑risk young people in a safe, nurturing home environment. This role involves hands‑on life skills coaching and daily routines, in a team‑based, coastal setting.

You will join a passionate team working across weekends and public holidays in a shift‑based, casual capacity, with supervision from the Therapeutic Support Team. The successful candidate will have trauma‑informed practice experience, a Certificate IV in the relevant field, a WWC

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care) or equivalent.
• Blue Card / Working with Children Check and safety screenings.
• Current Driver’s Licence and First Aid Certificate.
• Experience with at-risk youth and trauma-informed practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routines (meals, hygiene, homework) in a home-like setting.
• Encourage participation in recreational and life-skills activities.
• Implement behaviour support plans with the Therapeutic Support Team.
• Observe wellbeing and escalate concerns to coordinators.
• Collaborate with staff and external services in a 24/7 rostered environment.
