Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Youth Worker to support children and young people in out-of-home care in Bundaberg. You will apply a therapeutic-centred CARE approach, helping youths feel safe, nurtured and connected while supporting families and communities.

You will complete verbal and written reports, maintain a clean, safe home environment and work flexible casual rosters. The role requires Blue Card, First Aid & CPR, a valid driver licence and background checks.

Qualifications

• Hold OR be enrolled in a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention
• Or hold a minimum Certificate IV in Human Services, Community Services, Youth Services or related field
• Experience applying the CARE Principles when supporting Children and Young People

Responsibilities

• Work with children, young people and families using a therapeutic-centred CARE approach
• Support stable, trauma-informed, non-family-based care arrangements
• Complete verbal and written reports and manage day-to-day tasks
