Job summary

Women's Community Shelters is hiring a Support Worker to welcome clients with respect and care, providing accommodation support for women in Temporary, Crisis and other accommodation settings. The role operates within a trauma-informed, person-centered framework to deliver best-practice responses to gendered violence.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, help ensure safety and cleanliness at Ashfield, support residents with immediate needs, and work with the case

Qualifications

• Demonstrated competence in clear written and verbal communication.
• Experience applying trauma-informed, person-centered approaches.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries in a supportive role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the site.
• Support residents with immediate needs and daily living tasks.
• Collaborate with case management to identify, action and respond to clients.
