Job summary

Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency Co Op – Morwell VIC is seeking a Senior Case Manager to deliver trauma-informed, holistic therapeutic case management for Aboriginal young people during bail and court processes. The role includes mentoring staff and supporting pipeline referrals to health, education and employment services.

You will work with families and agencies, applying culturally appropriate practices and leveraging your experience in Youth Justice or related mental health

Qualifications

• Qualifications: Relevant degree or certifications in Case Management and/or Therapeutic Practices (e.g., Trauma-informed Care, Mental Health, AOD).
• Experience in Youth Justice, Case Management, AOD or mental health roles.
• Experience with Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander communities preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff, government agencies, Victoria Police and families.
• Understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, holistic therapeutic case management for Aboriginal young people at bail and court hearings.
• Support young people with complex needs and mentor new staff.
• Coordinate referrals to social-emotional wellbeing, health, education, and employment pathways.
• Participate in program planning and contribute to supervision.
