Job summary

VACCA - Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency in Morwell seeks a Senior Case Manager to deliver trauma-informed, holistic case management for Aboriginal young people at bail and through court processes.

You will support clients with complex needs, mentor new staff, and link to culturally strengthening care, health, education and employment pathways. Desirable experience includes youth justice or mental health contexts.

Qualifications

• Commitment to VACCA values and Aboriginal communities.
• Understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people in contemporary Australia.
• Experience in case management with young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people or vulnerable groups.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, culturally appropriate and respectful way with staff, Government Departments, Victoria Police, agency partners, young people and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, holistic therapeutic case management for Aboriginal young people at bail and until court hearings.
• Support young people with more complex needs and mentor new staff on onboarding.
• Facilitate access to culturally strengthening care and referrals for social emotional wellbeing, health, education and employment pathways.
• Participate in supervision and professional development to enhance service delivery.
