Job summary

Life Without Barriers Education (Durithunga Gunya) seeks a Teacher to deliver flexible, engaging learning for high school–age students at Crestmead PCYC, Logan. You will work with Youth Workers to re-engage learners in a culturally responsive, trauma-informed setting, focusing on wellbeing, participation, and goal achievement.

Responsibilities include building relationships with families and external agencies, supporting successful transitions, and maintaining a safe, compliant learning

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Education.
• Active registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or ability to obtain).
• Proven ability to design and deliver flexible learning options for disengaged learners.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for neurodivergent learners.
• Strong communication with students, families and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of QLD curriculum requirements.
• Provide First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Hold a current Australian driver’s licence and capacity to drive 12-seat vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging learning programs for disengaged youth.
• Create an inclusive, trauma-informed learning environment.
• Collaborate with Youth Workers and external agencies for coordinated support.
• Engage families and carers to support student transitions.
• Maintain compliance and accurate records.
