Job summary

EREA Flexible Schools Ltd on the Gold Coast seeks an qualified teacher to deliver engaging learning programs for Young People in the middle and secondary phase. You will plan, adapt, and implement curriculum within a trauma-informed, Inclusive setting aligned to the Edmund Rice tradition.

The role requires a Bachelor of Education, Queensland Teacher Registration, First Aid, and a minimum of three years of teaching experience, with strong communication and collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (Primary or Secondary) is required.
• Queensland Teacher Registration Certificate is required.
• A current First Aid certificate or ability to obtain.
• A current Driver Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning and teaching programs for Young People in the middle and secondary phase of education.
• Create flexible, innovative curriculum to engage Young People.
• Plan and implement class and individual learning programs meeting legislative requirements and supporting diverse learning needs and disabilities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the EREAFSL objectives and planning.
• Work collaboratively with staff to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment reflecting classroom diversity.
• Apply the EREAFSL Flexi Practice Framework (Common Ground, Operation by Principles, Trauma Aware Practice, Collaborative Problem Solving, culturally responsive approaches).
• Proactively build relationships with Young People, families/carers, and the community to ensure best outcomes.
