Job summary

Ruah is seeking a part-time Support Coordinator, Child & Young People Advocate in Northbridge, WA. You will provide child-centred support, coordinate services and advocate for safety and wellbeing of children and mothers, working with a multidisciplinary team.

The role is 0.6 FTE on a six-month maximum-term contract with potential extension. Demands strong communication and collaboration to uphold safeguarding and Rights of children.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent minimum in community services, youth work, or early childhood education.
• Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills essential.
• Experience with children and families affected by DV/trauma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual support, safety planning, and case coordination for children and families.
• Build trusted relationships with children, young people and families.
• Advocate for access to health, education and community services.
