Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council in Queensland invites a strategic leader to coordinate Transport Technical Services, guiding safety, reliability and sustainability of road, active transport and parking networks across a growing region. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive smart asset management, foster innovation and partner with stakeholders to deliver customer-focused transport solutions.

A degree in Civil, Transport or Electrical engineering, proven leadership in transport operations, and

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven leadership experience delivering transport operations, infrastructure asset management or technical services.
• Strong expertise in traffic engineering, road safety and transport network operations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving high-performance outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and provide trusted technical advice.
• RPEQ registration will be highly regarded.

• Lead a high-performing team delivering critical transport services across one of Australia's fastest-growing regions.
• Drive the performance, safety and reliability of the Sunshine Coast's road, active transport and parking networks.
• Provide strategic leadership across traffic engineering, intelligent transport systems, electrical assets and network operations.
• Champion innovation and smart technology solutions that enhance community safety, accessibility and mobility.
• Influence major transport initiatives, asset investment decisions and continuous improvement programs that shape the future of the region.
• Mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team while fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
