Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a forward-thinking leader to deliver safe, reliable and sustainable transport services for one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions. You will oversee road, active transport and parking networks, driving smart asset management and customer-focused outcomes.

The role requires degree qualifications in civil/transport/electrical engineering and proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven leadership delivering transport operations, asset management or technical services.
• Strong expertise in traffic engineering, road safety and transport network operations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving high-performance outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence and provide trusted technical advice.
• RPEQ registration will be highly regarded.

About you

A confident and forward-thinking leader, you’ll combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to shape the future of transport on the Sunshine Coast.

• Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven leadership experience delivering transport operations, infrastructure asset management or technical services.
• Strong expertise in traffic engineering, road safety and transport network operations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving high-performance outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and provide trusted technical advice.
• RPEQ registration will be highly regarded.
