Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council in Queensland invites a strategic leader to coordinate Transport Technical Services, guiding safety, reliability and sustainability of road, active transport and parking networks across a growing region. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive smart asset management, foster innovation and partner with stakeholders to deliver customer-focused transport solutions.

A degree in Civil, Transport or Electrical engineering, proven leadership in transport operations, and

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven leadership experience delivering transport operations, infrastructure asset management or technical services.
• Strong expertise in traffic engineering, road safety and transport network operations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving high-performance outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and provide trusted technical advice.
• RPEQ registration will be highly regarded.

About the Role

Lead the delivery of safe, reliable and sustainable transport services that keep the Sunshine Coast moving. In this key leadership role, you'll oversee the management and performance of critical transport infrastructure assets, ensuring our road, active transport and parking networks continue to meet the needs of a growing community.

A confident and forward-thinking leader, you'll combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to shape the future of transport on the Sunshine Coast.
