Job summary

Loogistics on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced scheduler or allocator to plan and allocate the daily runs for our truck fleet. You will determine which service, delivery and collection jobs belong together, assign trucks and drivers, and sequence multi-stop runs for efficiency.

You will balance geography, priorities, vehicle capabilities, site restrictions and driver workload while adapting to day-to-day changes.

Loogistics is looking for an experienced scheduler or allocator to take responsibility for planning the daily runs for our truck fleet.

We are an established Sunshine Coast liquid waste business servicing portable toilets, commercial holding tanks and customer sites across the region.

The role

You’ll plan and allocate the daily work for five regular drivers operating a mixed fleet of trucks.

Our drivers don’t simply follow predetermined routes. You’ll decide which service, delivery and collection jobs belong together, which truck and driver should do them, and the most efficient sequence for each multi-stop run.

You’ll balance geography, customer priorities, truck capabilities, site restrictions, driver workload and operating cost while dealing with the inevitable changes that occur during the day.

You’ll work closely with our drivers, customer service and yard teams and communicate directly with customers when required.

About you

We’re interested in people with experience in transport allocation, scheduling, dispatch or coordinating mobile field-service teams.

You’ll be:

• Good at planning efficient multi-stop runs

• Comfortable prioritising competing work

• Practical, organised and decisive

• Cost-conscious about kilometres and driver time

• Confident communicating with drivers and customers

• Calm when plans need to change

• Comfortable with computer-based scheduling systems

• Someone who takes responsibility and follows things through

Experience in waste, equipment hire, civil construction, field services or local transport would be useful, but liquid waste experience is not required.

A truck licence or forklift ticket would be useful but isn’t essential.
