Job summary

Farrell Transport Group on the Gold Coast is seeking an Allocator to join our busy operations in Pimpama. This full-time role focuses on efficient truck and driver allocation for daily runs and projects.

You will use TMS/dispatch software, plan routes, and liaise with drivers and subcontractors to resolve scheduling issues while ensuring regulatory compliance. A team player who thrives under deadlines will fit well.

Qualifications

• Experience in truck/fleet allocation or dispatch, essential.
• Knowledge of CoR, fatigue management and heavy vehicle regulations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Proficiency with TMS/dispatch software and basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Allocate trucks and drivers to daily runs & projects based on material requirements, delivery windows and driver availability.
• Plan and adjust routes to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Liaise with drivers, customers, and subcontractors to resolve scheduling issues in real time.
• Monitor compliance with fatigue management, mass limits, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records in the transport management system (TMS).
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, delays, or last-minute changes to keep the fleet moving.
• Build strong working relationships with drivers and internal stakeholders.

Farrell Transporthave a great opportunity available for an experienced Allocator to join our high performing team located in Pimpama. This fast paced, dynamic and rewarding position will see you responsible for the allocations of our tipper trucks & subcontractors on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

Allocate trucks and drivers to daily runs & projects based on material requirements, delivery windows and driver availability

Plan and adjust routes to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime

Liaise with drivers, customers, and subcontractors to resolve scheduling issues in real time

Monitor compliance with fatigue management, mass limits, and other regulatory requirements

Maintain accurate records in the transport management system (TMS)

Respond quickly to breakdowns, delays, or last-minute changes to keep the fleet moving

Build strong working relationships with drivers and internal stakeholders

About you

Previous experience in truck/fleet allocation, dispatch is essential, tipper truck industry knowledge preferred.

Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and heavy vehicle regulations

Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure

Confident using TMS/dispatch software and general computer systems

Ability to work early starts, and some flexibility around hours as required by the transport schedule

A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
