Job summary

Exodas seeks a Transport Allocator to train across all linehaul operations, providing relief coverage as needed. Youll gain allocations experience in interstate road transport and exposure to fresh produce and overnight express freight, with emphasis on planning, scheduling, and driver rostering.

In this role you will communicate clearly with drivers and staff, use WhatsApp for instructions, monitor fatigue management, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule drivers for timely freight pickup and delivery.
• Roster and manage drivers for maximum utilisation of equipment.

• Maintain clear communication with external and internal parties.
• Monitor COR and Fatigue Management.
• Keep accurate daily records of driver movements and equipment.

Exodas is a well-established and growing transport and logistics company operating along the East coast of Australia, from Nth Queensland through to Melbourne.

Head Office is located in Yatala (QLD) with depots/yards also located inMelbourne, Sydney, Warnervale, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville, Tully, Innisfail and Mareeba.

The Role

This role will train across all positions of our linehaul operations team with the goal of providing relief cover for other staff as required. We are looking for allocations experience within the linehaul/interstate road transport sector, as well as exposure to fresh produce and overnight express freight

As a Transport Allocator you will be responsible for:

Planning and scheduling drivers for the timely pick up and delivery of freight. Meeting timeframes and time-slots is a critical aspect of this role

Rostering and managing drivers to ensure maximum utilisation of company equipment

Clear communication of instructions and expectations to drivers and other staff - using WhatsApp to provide instructions to drivers

Clear and timely communication with external and internal parties

Monitoring COR and Fatigue Management

Accurate and timely record keeping of the daily movements of drivers and equipment

Allocations experience within the linehaul/interstate road transport sector

Experience and understanding of produce and refrigerated freight is highly desirable

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Intermediate (Office, Excel) computer skills are essential

Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a sometimes high paced and high pressure environment

Ability to work well in a team environment

Full training will be provided- but you must be a go getter and learn on the fly!
