Job summary

Gold Fields is offering a 12-month Trainee Process Operator program designed to train you to operate a processing plant safely and effectively. You’ll learn alongside experienced operators, gaining hands-on exposure to crushers, mills, leach tanks and elution circuits, with a pathway to a permanent Gold Fields role.

The role is 12 months fixed-term, with an 8 days on / 6 days off, 7 nights on / 7 days off roster.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Good communication skills and basic computer literacy.
• C Class Driver’s Licence - manual preferred.
• Previous experience operating mobile equipment is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely operate and monitor areas of the processing plant.
• Gain exposure to crushers, mills, leach tanks and elution circuits.
• Operate in control rooms and monitor plant performance.
• Assist with maintenance during planned shutdowns.
• Perform basic process checks and data entry.
• Support safety discussions and toolbox talks.
