Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd invites applications for a Trainee Process Operator. This 12‑month traineeship provides hands-on experience in mining processing operations, with mentorship from experienced operators and the chance to transition to a permanent role at Gold Fields.

The role follows an 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster, offering site allowances and a focus on safety and skill development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and basic computer literacy.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence — manual licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely operate and monitor the processing plant.
• Gain exposure to crushers, mills, leach tanks and elution circuits.
• Assist with maintenance activities during planned shutdowns.
• Carry out basic process checks and data entry.
