Job summary

A leading disability support organization based on the Sunshine Coast seeks casual Support Trainers to provide meaningful support to trainees. Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience within the Disability Sector is desirable.
• Familiarity with complex behaviours and disorders is important.
• Must have Australian working rights and complete necessary checks.

• Engage in activities to meet trainees' developmental goals.
• Model behaviours that facilitate learning and growth.

• Pay rates between $28.12 – $44.59 per hour

We are seeking casual Support Trainers to join our on the Sunshine Coast. You will work alongside a vibrant, values-led team to support Trainees to grow in confidence, capability and independence, while building your own career within a purpose-driven organisation committed to meaningful outcomes.

Compass Institute is looking for compassionate and motivated Support Trainers to join our team.

In this role you will:

• Support Trainees who are participating in Compass Day programs, both in groups or 1:1
• Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development
• Assist with personal care and daily support needs where required
• Follow care plans and contribute to trainee goals
• Complete progress notes and incident reporting
• Help create engaging and meaningful learning experiences

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is patient, positive, and genuinely enjoys supporting others
• Can build strong and respectful relationships
• Is reliable, adaptable, and works well within a team
• Feels confident supporting people with complex behaviours and support needs
• Brings energy, empathy, and a willingness to learn

Position Requirements:

• Cert III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check (Blue card)
• Driver’s licence and reliable insured vehicle
• Experience in the disability sector highly regarded
