Job summary

Shellharbour City Council is offering a traineeship that combines practical workplace experience with structured learning, open to school leavers and mature-age applicants eligible for the Certificate III in Events. You will gain hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification in event planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement and delivery.

Qualifications

• Open to school leavers and mature-age applicants eligible for the Certificate III in Events.
• On-the-job training and structured learning supported by Council and TAFE.
• Mentorship and ongoing training under the CAT Program.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in event planning, coordination and delivery.
• Engage with stakeholders to support community activation and events.
• Contribute to place-based engagement initiatives across Shellharbour.
