Job summary

Goodstart Highfields is offering a Trainee Educator role at our Highfields centre in Queensland. You will work under the Centre Leadership Team and our Educators to support children’s learning while you study towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.

Key duties include maintaining a safe environment, building positive relationships with children and families, contributing to the education program, and upholding National Quality Standards and Goodstart policies.

To be eligible for a Traineeship youare not able toholda previousCertificate or Diploma qualification completed outside of secondary school in the last 7 years. Applicants who have completed a school-based certificateother than in childcare will still be eligible.

In addition, you must have:

The willingness and motivation to study towards aCertificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care

A permanent right to work in Australia

Strong communicationskills

Good timemanagement and organisational skills

Ability to work well individually and as part of a team

Interest in early years education

Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)

Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed viaGecckoplatform

Proof of immunisation against Measles, Mumps and RubellaandWhooping Cough (Pertussis)(or be willing to receive)
