Toshiba Australia is seeking a motivated Trainee Customer Service Technician to join our Service team based in ACT. This full-time permanent opportunity is ideal for someone looking to launch a rewarding career in the office technology industry.

As a Trainee Customer Service Technician, you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to develop your technical skills in servicing and maintaining Toshiba’s industry-leading multifunction printers and photocopiers.

Qualifications

• Current and Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Mechanical/electrical/electronic aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working with software, operating systems and networks.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow the provided training plan in both workshop and field settings.
• Assemble and configure, ‘run‑up’, Multi‑Functional Devices.
• Participate in fieldwork at least one day per month.
• Shadow Customer Service Technicians at customer sites to train customers on equipment usage, support installation, run tests and complete onsite repairs.
• Learn to diagnose faults by asking discovery questions and schedule site visits.
• Handle customer issues and reactions effectively and resolve problems in a timely and appropriate manner.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

• Follow the provided training plan in both workshop and field settings.

  • Calling customers.
  • Diagnosing and understanding issues.
  • Scheduling site visits.
  • Diagnosing problems on‑site.
• Handle customer issues and reactions effectively.
• Resolve problems in a timely and appropriate manner.

Desired Skills and Experience

Other requirements:

• Current and Valid Driver’s License
• Although an advantage, previous experience servicing MFDs is not essential as full training will be provided
• The ability to learn concepts quickly
• Willing to undertake Working with Children Check and National Police Check
• Willing to comply with all vaccination requirements where necessary to visit customer sites.
