Job summary

Bruce Rock Engineering in Forrestfield, WA is seeking a qualified Vehicle Body Builder to join the Service & Repairs Team. You will repair and maintain road transport equipment, focusing on welding, fabrication, hydraulics and mechanical components.

This hands-on, permanent role offers varied work, a strong team culture, ongoing training, and opportunities across multiple locations. Applicants should hold an Australian-recognised Trade Certificate in Fabrication or Mechanical and be proficient

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised Trade Certificate in Fabrication, Mechanical, or similar.
• Proficient welding skills (MIG, TIG, arc).
• Experience in trailer repair, fabrication or servicing (ideal, not essential).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and tool confidence.
• Police Clearance (within last 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Construct, assemble and repair trailer body structures to spec.
• MIG, TIG, and arc welding across various components.
• Carry out mechanical and hydraulic repairs.
• Custom trailer modifications (racks, ramps, doors, shelving etc.).
• Quality checks to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
