Altus Traffic is expanding its traffic management teams across Ballarat and the surrounding region. We’re seeking reliable Traffic Controllers, Team Leaders and Implementers (TC1, TC2, TMI2 and TMI3) to join our team and grow with us.

Qualifications

• Valid Traffic Control accreditation (TC1, TMI1, TC2, TMI2 or TMI3).
• OHS (White) Card required.
• Full driver’s licence with ability to drive a manual vehicle.
• Traffic management experience and availability to work days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic management tasks for works or events.
• Use a Stop/Slow bat to control traffic.
• Implement and monitor traffic management plans.
• Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment.
• Complete site hazard assessments and implement controls.
• Report on site hazards and near misses.
• Monitor traffic behaviour to maintain safety.
• Follow instructions from team leaders and inspectors.
• Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to protect workers and the public.

Duties:

• Perform all tasks associated with traffic management for works or events
• Use a Stop/Slow bat to control traffic
• Implement and monitor operational traffic management plans
• Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment
• Complete site hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site
• Report on site hazards and near misses
• Monitor traffic behaviour and flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times
• Follow instructions from team leaders, foremen, inspectors and auditors
• Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to protect maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public

Skills & experience:

• Valid Traffic Control accreditation (TC1, TMI1, TC2, TMI2 or TMI3)
• OHS (White) Card
• Full driver’s licence with the confidence to drive a manual vehicle
• Traffic management experienceAvailability to work days, nights and weekends
