Job summary

Altus Traffic is seeking dedicated Traffic Management Practitioners and Team Members to join our team on projects throughout Gladstone, Queensland. You will help ensure safe and efficient traffic flow while supporting major infrastructure initiatives.

Join industry leaders committed to raising safety standards and service delivery. Applicants should hold QLD TC – Traffic Control License; TC license essential; TMI is desirable.

Qualifications

• Essential: QLD TC – Traffic Control License.
• Highly Desirable: QLD TMI – Traffic Management Implementation License.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Flexible availability for day, night, and weekend shifts.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic for works and events using Stop/Slow Bat.
• Implement and monitor traffic management plans.
• Perform vehicle pre-start checks, load/unload signage, and equipment.
• Complete necessary documentation and hazard assessments.
• Report hazards and near misses promptly.
• Maintain safety standards for workers, pedestrians, cyclists, and the public.
• Work closely with team leaders, foremen, and auditors to ensure best practices are followed.
