Job summary

Linbeck Contractors is seeking a highly skilled Traffic Controller Coordinator to join our team in Sydney. The role focuses on coordinating daily Traffic Control jobs across multiple projects, ensuring crews are resourced and plans meet client and project requirements while maintaining safety and compliance.

You will manage TMPs, permits and approvals, design ROPs, and liaise with clients, supervisors and field teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Current PWZTMP qualification/licence.
• (This is a work zone traffic management qualification)
• 3+ years' experience in traffic management, TGS/CTMP preparation, or construction coordination.
• Strong understanding of traffic management regulations, standards and compliance.
• Experience managing TMPs, permits and approvals and compliance documentation.
• Exposure to workforce allocations, rostering or resource scheduling is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Traffic Control jobs to meet operational and project requirements.
• Allocate labour, vehicles and equipment to ensure crews are appropriately resourced.
• Verify permits, TGS requirements and coordinate planning with the Planning team.
• Design and implement Road Occupancy Plans (ROPs).
• Communicate with clients, supervisors and field teams.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to monitor safety and service standards.
• Support urgent works and service delivery issues, coordinating resources and responding to changing requirements.
• Assist with Traffic Control invoicing.

Job description

Linbeck is seeking a highly skilled and organised Traffic Controller Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating and scheduling daily Traffic Control jobs to support internal civil crews and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on time. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating resources, managing daily schedules and ensuring Traffic Control plans are effectively designed and within project requirements, operational needs and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Traffic Control jobs to meet operational and project requirements
• Allocate labour, vehicles and equipment to ensure crews are appropriately resourced
• Verify permits, Traffic Guidance Scheme (TGS) requirements and coordinate planning requirements with the Planning team
• Design and implement Road Occupancy Plans (ROPs)
• Communicate with clients, supervisors and field teams
• Conduct site inspections and operational audits to monitor compliance, safety and service standards
• Support urgent works, incidents and service delivery issues, coordinating resources and responding to changing operational requirements
• Assist with Traffic Control invoicing

To be considered for the role you must have;

• Current Prepare a Work Zone Traffic Management Plan (PWZTMP) qualification/licence
• 3+ years' experience within traffic management, TGS/CTMP preparation, construction coordination or a similar role
• Strong understanding of traffic management regulations, standards and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated experience managing TMPs, permits, approvals and compliance documentation
• Exposure to workforce allocations, rostering or resource scheduling will be highly regarded
• Ability and willingness to support allocations when operational requirements demand it
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate requirements across multiple projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
