Job summary

Metro Civil Vic is seeking a Traffic Control Team Leader and Offsiders in Melbourne to manage traffic, lead crews, and ensure safety on site. The role covers planning, supervision, and coordination with site teams, with shift options including days and nights.

Ideal candidates hold current TMI-1/TMI-2 tickets, a White Card, and have prior leadership experience. Casual roles with PPE provided and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Most Current TMI-1 and TMI-2 Traffic Tickets (RIISS00058 for TM1, RIISS00059 for TC2, RIISS00061 for TM2)
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Ability to lead a small team of traffic controllers
• Availability to work day and night shifts

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks associated with traffic management
• Provide leadership and support to fellow traffic controllers
• Implement and monitor Traffic Management Plans
• Load/unload vehicles with signage and equipment
• Maintain vehicles and equipment
• Complete required paperwork and SWMS
• Monitor traffic flow and safety on site

Traffic Controllers - Team Leader & Offsiders

Our continual growth has presented an excellent opportunity for Traffic Control Team Leaders and Casual Traffic Control Offsiders to join our team.

About the role:

Perform all tasks associated with traffic management

Provide support and leadership to your fellow traffic controllers when needed.

Confidence and experience to work independently.

Work with our Site Crew leaders.

Implement and monitor operational Traffic Management Plans

Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment when needed.

Maintain vehicle and equipment

Complete required paperwork and SWMS

Complete site hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site.

Monitor traffic behaviour and or flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times

Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to protect our site crews and members of the public

Implementing Traffic Guidance Schemes to the highest standard

Skills and Experience:

Most Current TMI-1 and TMI-2 Traffic Tickets

(RIISS00058 for TM1 and RIISS00059 for TC2, RIISS00061 for TMI2),

Min 2 years’ experience as a Traffic Control Team Leader.

Min 1 years’ experience as a Traffic Control Offsider.

Hold current Construction Induction Card (White card)

Control traffic with stop/slow bat

Implement traffic management plans

Have led a team of traffic controllers

Have been a vehicle holder

Driver's licence

Availability to work- days and nights
