Job summary

Quantum Civil in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Traffic Controller qualified to implement Traffic Management Plans (TMPs). You’ll set up, manage and pack down traffic control on our civil sites, ensuring safety for crews, the public and road users.

Key requirements include Victorian Traffic Controller qualification (RIIWHS205E), White Card, a valid driver’s licence, and experience on civil sites. You’ll work early starts, nights or weekends as needed.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Traffic Controller who is qualified to implement Traffic Management Plans (TMPs). You’ll set up, manage and pack down traffic control on our civil sites, keeping our crews, the public and road users safe.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, install and remove traffic management in line with approved TMPs and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS)
• Control traffic using stop/slow bats and other approved methods
• Set up and maintain signage, barriers, cones and delineation
• Conduct site inspections and keep traffic management records and checklists up to date
• Communicate with site supervisors, plant operators and the public
• Identify and report hazards and adjust setups as site conditions change
• Follow all WHS requirements and Quantum Civil’s safety procedures

What you’ll need

• Current Victorian Traffic Controller qualification (RIIWHS205E – Control traffic with stop-slow bat)
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Experience on civil, roadworks or construction sites
• Strong safety awareness and clear communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and able to work outdoors in all conditions
• Experience working on school, commercial or council projects
• First Aid certificate
• Ability to work early starts, nights or weekends when required
