Job summary

Susquehanna International Group in Sydney is expanding its Trader Desk team. The Trader Desk Associate supports traders, maintains positions and P&L, and ensures accurate, fast execution on the trading floor.

You will work with traders, brokers, and internal teams, using Excel and automation tools; knowledge of Python or SQL is a plus, and a finance background helps you learn quickly. This role offers exposure to trading systems and algorithmic tools, with opportunities to contribute to

Qualifications

Strong technical skills in Excel.
Experience with Python or SQL is a strong plus.
Knowledge of equities and equity derivatives, or ability to learn quickly.
Finance or investment coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

Reconcile trades, transactions, and positions.
Prepare and submit delivery instructions for proprietary trading.
Maintain positions, P&L, and real-time desk information.
Support operational processes to meet regulatory and exchange requirements.
Use algorithmic trading tools under trader instruction.
Update and maintain trading systems, proprietary applications, and Excel tools.
Liaise with traders, brokers, dealers, and internal teams.
Assist with pricing, execution, recaps/reporting, and post-trade issue resolution.
Contribute to automation and process-improvement projects.
Operate effectively on the trading floor and stay composed during time-sensitive situations.
