Job summary

Susquehanna is growing across APAC, and we’re expanding our Sydney team with a Trader Desk Associate. This role sits at the heart of our trading operation, supporting traders and ensuring our desks run with accuracy, speed, and control. As a Trader Desk Associate, you will work closely with traders and the broader market—handling key operational tasks, maintaining accurate positions and P&L, and ensuring smooth execution and communication. You will also gain exposure to trading systems, algorithmic tools, and automation initiatives. What You Will Do

You Will Bring

• Strong technical skills – proficiency in Excel; experience with Python or SQL is a strong plus
• Interest in automation and improving front‑office processes through technology
• Knowledge of equities and equity derivatives, or proven solid foundation with ability to learn quickly
• Previous financial services experience and completion of finance or investment‑related coursework (preferred)
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment
• A self‑starter mindset – quick learner, resourceful, proactive
• A reliable, positive, flexible team approach, including the ability to adapt working hours over time to support APAC Options desks
• Ability to move around the trading floor and work calmly under pressure
