Job summary

InfraBuild Recycling is seeking a Trading Executive based at Mackay to lead the procurement of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap and coordinate delivery to recycling facilities. You will build strong customer relationships and drive service excellence while aligning with safety goals.

Reporting to the State Trading Manager, the Trading Executive is responsible for the procurement of ferrous and non ferrous scrap metal, along with coordinating delivery to nominated InfraBuild Recycling facilities. Working closely with the State Trading Managers and Trading Executive team, you will contribute to operational safety as well as driving excellence in customer service.

This role is based out of our Mackay site.

What you will be doing:

• Overseeing a portfolio of existing accounts as well as developing new business
• Developing rapport with customers, tailoring our products and service offerings to their specific needs
• Prioritising work demands to manage customer retention and satisfaction
• Negotiating quotes taking into account bespoke customer requirements
• Compliance to ACCC and Trade Practices in all customer and contractor interactions
• Support the ‘Goal Zero' strategy through operating in a manner which does not expose themselves or others to hazards that could result in injury or illness

What you will bring:

• Strong experience in sales or account management, desirable
• Experience in the scrap metal recycling and other waste and recycling industries, desirable
• Demonstrate the ability to influence outcomes with various stakeholder groups to achieve strategic objectives
• Ensure adherence to relevant company policies including safe work practices
• A high level of resilience and a clear solutions-focused mindset to support business objectives and strategies
• Demonstrated time management and project planning ability
• Be able to identify opportunities for growth or improvement across a complex business
