This hands‑on role suits someone who enjoys practical work and wants to contribute to a global mining and resources leader. Applicants must have a current forklift licence and be available to work full-time Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift Licence is essential.
• Experience in a workshop, manufacturing, mining or industrial environment is highly regarded.
• Confidence using hand and power tools.
• Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role.

RIMEX is a global leader in the manufacture and supply of wheels and rims for the mining, resources and heavy industrial sectors, with operations throughout Australia and internationally.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant to join our Mt Isa workshop team.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing the job properly and works well as part of a team. You’ll support our tradespeople and workshop operations across a range of activities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting tradespeople with day‑to‑day workshop activities

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

• Current Forklift Licence – essential

• Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, mining, mechanical or industrial environment is highly regarded

• Confidence using hand and power tools

• A practical, hands‑on approach and willingness to learn

• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Reliability and a strong work ethic

• Commitment to workplace safety and quality

• Availability to work full‑time Monday to Friday.

Experience with welding, painting or abrasive blasting would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.
