Job summary

Our client is an engineering company seeking a Workshop Trades Assistant to support trades staff with repair and build of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, and to assist with Stores and despatch activities. The role demands attention to detail, a proactive approach and ability to work flexibly within two departments to meet deadlines.

You will be involved in machining, fitting, fabrication, assembly and manufacturing tasks, with duties spanning warehouse stores, deliveries and shop floor

Qualifications

• Experience supporting machining, fitting, fabrication workshop or similar.
• Stores experience is desirable but not essential.
• Drivers licence required.
• Forklift licence required.

Responsibilities

• Assist trades with machining, fitting, fabrication, assembly, repair and manufacturing requirements.
• Assist with stores work including receiving, shipping, storing and packing stock in the warehouse.
• Conduct client deliveries as required.
• General housekeeping of workshop.
• Ensure all policy, procedures and safety requirements are adhered to at all times.

Due to growth, we're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who takes pride in their work to join their team as a Workshop Trades Assistant. This unique positionrequires a high level of attention to detail and a proactive helpful and flexible approach to assist trades staff with the repair and build of intricate pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, manufacturing processes and stores staff with pick, pack and despatch activities.

The varied workload across two departments calls for a cooperative, flexible approach, working to timeframes and ensuring quality job completion.

The Role:

What we're looking for:

• Experience supporting machining, fitting, fabrication workshop or similar

• Able to carry our physical tasks as required
• Self motivated, good organisations skills
• Suited to working in a fast-paced environment.
