Powerhouse Supplies Pty Ltd in Cairns and Far North Queensland is seeking a Trade Relationship & Business Development Manager to drive growth in electrical wholesale and lighting by building strong relationships with trade customers, visiting job sites and turning conversations into long-term opportunities.

You will work independently, manage quotes and opportunities, and represent Powerhouse within the local trade community, with a vehicle or vehicle allowance and incentives to reward

Qualifications

• Electrical, construction or trade-industry knowledge.
• Electrical wholesale or supplier experience is highly regarded.
• Existing network within the local trade community is advantageous.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with electricians and trade customers across Cairns and Far North Queensland.
• Visit customers, workshops and job sites.
• Win new trade accounts and reconnect with previous Powerhouse customers.
• Follow up quotes and project opportunities.
• Promote and support the Trade Express drive-through service.
• Collaborate with suppliers on trade promotions and events.
• Identify construction and project opportunities.
• Support the lighting showroom's relationships with builders and electricians.

Powerhouse Supplies is looking for someone to help grow the next chapter of the electrical wholesale and lighting business. This role involves building genuine relationships with trade customers, visiting job sites and customer locations, and turning conversations into long-term business opportunities. You will work independently across Cairns and Far North Queensland, connecting with electricians and other trade customers to understand their needs and represent Powerhouse within the local trade community.

Key responsibilities

• Building relationships with electricians and other trade customers throughout Cairns and Far North Queensland
• Visiting customers, workshops and job sites
• Winning new trade accounts
• Reconnecting with previous Powerhouse customers
• Following up quotes and project opportunities
• Helping customers make use of the Trade Express drive-through service
• Working with suppliers on trade promotions and events
• Identifying construction and project opportunities
• Supporting the lighting showroom's relationships with builders and electricians

About you
