We are seeking Trade Counter Assistants in Inner Sydney to help tradespeople access essential products with service excellence.

Trade Counter Assistant Opportunities - Inner Sydney

About the opportunity

As part of the Trade Counter team, you'll help plumbers and other tradespeople access the products they need for residential, commercial and renovation projects that keep Sydney growing.

We have a mix of opportunities across the Inner Sydney area including Full Time and Part Time rosters, working in customer service, warehousing, delivery driving, or as an all-rounder!

No plumbing experience? No Problem.

We believe skills can be taught. Whether you're new to the industry or looking for your next career opportunity, we'll set you up for success with:

• Paid comprehensive on-the-job training, covering everything from branch operations and customer service fundamentals to product knowledge.
• Access to self-paced online learning modules to help build your skills and confidence throughout your career.
• Ongoing courses and opportunities to try something challenging and unlock a new skill.

Your day-to-day

A typical day involves:

• Providing customer service and information about products.
• Providing quotes both in-person and over the phone.
• Undertaking pick packing and stock control activities.
• Maintaining a safe, organised, and welcoming branch environment.
• Make deliveries to customers using a company vehicle.
• Continue upskilling with tailored on-the-job training initiatives.

We'd love to hear from you:

• We're looking for people with career potential and a growth mindset.
• Previous experience in customer service and enjoys helping people both in person and over the phone.
• Accurately pick orders, maintain shop floor displays and ensure information provided is accurate.
• Tech-savvy and adaptable to learn new systems.
• Holds a clean, valid driver's licence. Valid Forklift licence is ideal but not essential.
• Wants to develop their career - either locally, within our broader network or head office!
