Astrum Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Trade Assistant in Sydney to support Service Technicians in a busy Service Centre. You will help disassemble and assemble customer products, maintain a clean workspace and assist with safety-conscious tasks, gaining practical mechanical experience in a supportive team.

This role suits someone with mechanical aptitude who wants to grow their skills while contributing to large-scale construction and infrastructure projects in a safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• General mechanical experience is required.
• Forklift licence is preferred.
• Previous experience operating an overhead crane is preferred.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Disassembling and assembling customer products under guidance of qualified technicians.
• General cleaning of parts and workshop area.
• Painting and final assembly of products.
• Packing and preparing products for shipment.
• Assisting Service Technicians with other repairs and servicing of products.
• Operating plant and equipment, e.g. overhead crane and forklift.
• Ensuring all company and WHS procedures are followed at all times.

About the Role
