Job summary

Blake Machinery Group (BMG) is a large family-owned business specialising in the supply and maintenance of high quality earthmoving equipment to the mining, civil and private sectors. BMG is currently looking for experienced trade assistants to support BMG’s Diesel Fitters, Tyre Fitters and Service Personnel in their day-to-day duties at the Bauxite Hills Mine.

You will perform various supporting duties alongside our workshop teams, conduct daily service runs, assist with fuel, grease and oil

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain an HR Licence.
• Experience working in mining/FIFO environments is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Perform supporting duties alongside Diesel Fitters, Tyre Fitters and Service Personnel.
• Conduct daily service runs including fuel, grease and oil top ups on all mine site equipment.
• Fuel and grease prime movers and side tipping trailers as required.
• Attend out-of-hours breakdowns and vehicle retrievals when required.

Blake Machinery Group (BMG) is a large family-owned business specialising in the supply and maintenance of high quality earthmoving equipment to the mining, civil and private sectors.

BMG is currently looking for experienced trade assistants to support BMG’s Diesel Fitters, Tyre Fitters and Service Personnel in their day-to-day duties involving the repair, service and maintenance of BMG’s equipment at Bauxite Hills Mine.

Perform various supporting duties alongside BMG’s Diesel Fitters, Tyre Fitters and Service Personnel in the performance of their day-to-day tasks

Conduct daily service run including fuel, grease and oil top ups as required on all mine site equipment on an as required basis

Fuel and grease prime movers and side tipping trailers on an as required basis

Attend out-of-hours breakdowns and vehicle retrievals when required

Essential skills:

• Day and night shift, mining/FIFO experience preferred
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team
• Strong commitment towards safe work practices
• Proven problem-solving ability, strong work ethic and attention to detail
• HR Licence
• Candidates with mining/FIFO experience, as well as those with rigging/dogging and non-slewing crane tickets will be viewed favorably.
