Job summary

Fresh Produce Group is seeking a hands-on farmhand for our Red Cliffs site in Victoria. The role involves operating a tractor and attachments, spraying and general farm maintenance as part of daily duties.

We require experience with farm machinery, a valid driver’s licence and ideally a forklift licence and ChemCert certification. Applicants should be physically fit and prepared for six-day weeks including harvest overtime.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating machinery including tractors and attachments.
• Valid drivers licence and current forklift licence.
• Current ChemCert certificate or equivalent is highly regarded.
• Experience in horticulture or fresh produce farming is valued.
• Physically fit for daily manual labour and lifting up to 20 kg.
• Able to work 6 days a week with overtime during harvest season.

About Us

Treviso is part of Fresh Produce Group one of Australia's largest and most innovative fresh produce providers. With offices on the east and west coast of Australia, we employ over 600 people and distribute more than 40 produce varieties.

This position is paid at award rate, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities includes but are not limited to tractor work, spraying and general farmhand work. Day to day duties will vary, but will include:

• Operating farm machinery, such as a tractor and attachments.
• Undertaking chemical spraying, weeding or slashing.
• Maintaining records on work activities
• Ensuring areas are clean and maintained.
• Conducting basic checks of farm machinery to ensure they are maintained in good condition.

About You

• Prior experience operating machinery including tractors and attachments
• Valid drivers licence
• Current forklift licence
• Current ChemCert certificate (or equivalent) highly regarded
• Prior experience in horticulture, fresh produce and/or citrus farming highly regarded
• Be physically fit and capable of performing daily manual labour, including (but not limited to) lifting up to 20kgs
• Availability to work 6 days a week, and overtimewhen required (e.g. during harvest season)
