Job summary

FreshGro Baby Salad Leaf Growers in Lockyer Valley, Queensland is seeking an experienced Tractor Operator (Ground Prep) for casual work with potential to become full‑time for motivated individuals. Responsibilities include soil preparation, bed forming with rotary hoe equipment, and supporting all stages from ground prep to harvest.

You will plan weekly activities, maintain machines, and work as part of a team in a family‑owned operation. Training in row crop practices is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years tractor driving experience.
• Willing to learn and take direction.
• Be able to plan your work week.
• Own Transport.
• Team player and attention to detail are a must.

Responsibilities

• Soil Management – groundwork duties.
• All aspects of growing from ground prep through to harvest.
• Plan weekly activities.
• Rotary Hoe bed forming, ripping, for direct seeding onto Beds.
• General maintenance: keep machines tidy and maintained.
• Meet KPI's.
• Training in Row crop practices will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

• All aspects of growing from ground prep through to harvest.
• Plan weekly activities.
• Rotary Hoe bed forming, ripping, for direct seeding onto Beds.
• General maintenance: as a machine operator, you are required to keep machines tidy and maintained.
• Meet KPI's.
• Training in Row crop practices will be provided.
