Job summary

UGL Regional Linx in New South Wales seeks a Track and Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership across corridor access engineering activities, supporting CRN projects and corridor interactions with safety and practicality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil preferred).
• Strong technical and engineering assessment skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

• Experience coordinating or influencing multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to safe, sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Corridor Access team to deliver consistent, high-quality engineering outcomes.
• Provide technical advice and assurance for third-party works, development applications, corridor access proposals, property activities, and related projects.
• Review engineering proposals against CRN standards and asset management principles, applying sound judgement to identify and manage safety and operational risks.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary assessments involving track, civil, structural, signalling, telecommunications, geotechnical, maintenance, and operational stakeholders.
• Assessing Heavy Vehicle applications with the support of the Heavy Vehicle Coordinator and Structures Engineer.
• Collaborate with applicants, designers, utilities, councils, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and develop practical, safe solutions.
• Provide clear engineering advice and recommendations that support informed decision-making.
• Continuous improvement across systems, processes, templates, and engineering practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining safety, compliance, and asset integrity.
