Dragon East Pty Ltd (Dragon Tours) is seeking full-time tour guides to deliver premium guided experiences in Cairns. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will transport guests, deliver engaging commentary, and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction across luxury tours in Cairns and Port Douglas.

Ideal candidates will have tourism or hospitality experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for showcasing the local region.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV qualification (or higher) in a relevant field.
  • At least 1 year of tour-guiding or tourism-industry experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver clear, engaging tour commentary.
  • Excellent customer service with a professional, friendly attitude and the ability to interact confidently with diverse guests.

Responsibilities

  • Transport guests between accommodation and key points of interest in a safe and timely manner.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, informative commentary throughout luxury tours.
  • Accompany and guide visitors during tours, highlighting cultural, historical, ecological, and local points of interest.
  • Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all tour participants at all times.
  • Assist with coordination of tour logistics, including transport arrangements, schedules, accommodation links, and meal planning where required.
  • Provide tailored recommendations on local attractions, activities, dining, and services.
  • Respond to guest questions and resolve any concerns professionally during tours.
  • Conduct ongoing research to stay informed about local history, culture, environment, and attractions to enhance guest experience.
  • Work closely with other tour guides and operations staff to improve tour routes, itineraries, and overall guest experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of tour schedules, guest numbers, and any feedback or incidents to support quality and compliance.

We are currently looking for additional tour guides to join our growing team and support the delivery of outstanding guest experiences across our luxury tours.

Position Available: We are hiring FULL-TIME Tour Guides to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will assist in delivering high-quality guided tours, ensure smooth day-to-day tour operations, and provide an exceptional experience for all guests.

Ideal candidates will have some experience in tourism, hospitality, or customer-facing roles in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and a passion for showcasing the local region are highly valued.
