Job summary

Freeman Catholic College Bonnyrigg Heights, part of Sydney Catholic Schools, invites applications for a Timber and Construction Teacher. The role is full-time and permanent, based at Bonnyrigg Heights NSW, with updated workshops and modern facilities including FESTOOL, laser cutters, and 3D printers.

Successful applicants will contribute to a Catholic learning community and uphold high teaching standards. As part of the Technologies and VET Department, you will deliver student-centred lessons,

About You

As a Timber and Construction Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. Our Technologies and VET Department is a high-performing faculty, regularly achieving outstanding results in Design and Technology, Industrial Technology; Timber and Multimedia, and Food Technology. With updated machinery and workshops, and FESTOOL, laser-cutter, 3D printers and state of the art Hospitality and Construction facilities. You'll bring:

  • a commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College, the Catholic Church and the wellbeing of all community members
  • expertise in Technologies; Timber, with additional teaching area in Construction (willingness to train) advantageous
  • demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices
  • ability to create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • a commitment to academic excellence
  • ability to utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
  • a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
  • demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
  • ability to integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences
