Job summary

Melbourne Park is seeking a Ticketing Coordinator for a 12-month fixed-term role. You will manage day-to-day ticketing services for events, from planning and setup through on-sale and event-day delivery, working with our ticketing partner and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ticketing requirements for events from planning to delivery.
  • Check event builds, capacities, pricing, allocations, holds and on-sale info.
  • Collaborate with ticketing partner to ensure accurate setup on time.
  • Support event-day ticketing, box office and access control ops including evenings and weekends.
  • Coordinate ticket allocations and stakeholder requests.
  • Handle customer bookings, accessible ticketing, cancellations and refunds.
  • Prepare and reconcile ticketing, sales, attendance and settlement reports.
  • Work with venue, event, marketing, finance and customer service teams.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues and escalate when needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of ticketing processes.

Melbourne Park is an iconic, multi-venue, world-renowned precinct that delivers hundreds of diverse sport, entertainment and community events each year, including one of only four tennis Grand Slams in the world – the Australian Open.

The Melbourne Park precinct is home to six of Melbourne’s premier venues – Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena, AAMI Park, Kia Arena and CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park – as well as the National Tennis Centre, two show courts, 35 outdoor tennis courts, six indoor tennis courts, Tennis HQ, Olympic Park Oval, Gosch’s Paddock and the KGM Centre.

Our Ticketing team plays an essential role in the successful delivery of events across the precinct, ensuring ticketing operations are accurate, efficient and provide a positive experience for our clients, stakeholders and guests.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a 12-month fixed-term role reporting to the Ticketing Manager. The Ticketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day delivery of ticketing services for events held at Melbourne Park.

You’ll coordinate assigned events from planning and ticketing setup through to on-sale and event-day delivery, working closely with our ticketing partner, clients, venue teams and internal stakeholders.

This is a hands-on, detail-focused role where you’ll support event builds, ticket allocations, box office operations, access control, customer enquiries, reporting and settlements. You’ll also help resolve operational issues and ensure ticketing requirements are delivered accurately and on time.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and customer-focused professional with experience in ticketing, events, venue operations or a similar environment to contribute to some of Melbourne’s most high-profile sporting and entertainment events.

WHAT YOU’LL FOCUS ON
  • Coordinate ticketing requirements for assigned events from planning through to event delivery.
  • Check event builds, capacities, pricing, allocations, holds and on-sale information.
  • Work closely with our ticketing partner to ensure events are set up accurately and on time.
  • Support event-day ticketing, box office and access control operations, including evenings and weekends.
  • Coordinate ticket allocations, complimentary tickets and other stakeholder requests.
  • Support customer and client enquiries, including bookings, accessible ticketing, cancellations and refunds.
  • Prepare and reconcile ticketing, sales, attendance and settlement reports.
  • Work collaboratively with venue, event, marketing, finance and customer service teams.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues, escalating matters where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of ticketing processes and ways of working.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • Experience in ticketing, venue or event operations, box office, customer service or a similar environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good numerical and reconciliation skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required for event delivery.
DESIRED
  • Experience with ticketing systems, event builds, on-sales, box office, access control, settlements or ticketing reporting.
  • Experience within a major venue, sport, entertainment, hospitality or customer-focused environment.
