Job summary

Melbourne Park is seeking a Car Park Control Room Operator for a casual on-site role in Melbourne, VIC. You will monitor car park operations, coordinate attendants and field teams, and support safe ingress and egress during events.

You are customer-focused, calm under pressure and able to maintain logs and incident records. Prior experience in event, transport or parking operations is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service-facing role, ideally within an event, transport, parking or operational environment.
• The ability to remain calm, composed and decisive during incidents and periods of high demand.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage with customers, field teams and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately maintain operational logs, records and incident reports.
• A proactive approach to identifying issues, managing risks and escalating matters appropriately.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor car park operations for hazards, incidents, congestion, access issues and emerging risks, escalating matters as required.
• Coordinate parking attendants and field teams in response to changing operational conditions and event requirements.
• Support safe and efficient event ingress, egress and peak operational periods across the precinct.
• Maintain clear and effective radio communication with field teams, supervisors and key stakeholders, providing timely operational updates and direction.
• Respond to customer and operational enquiries, triage issues and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
• Monitor operational systems, cameras and communications, while maintaining accurate logs, incident records and shift handovers.
