Melbourne Park is seeking a Workforce Operations Coordinator to support the Event Workforce across multiple venues and events in a fast‑paced precinct. Reporting to the Workforce Development & Operations Manager, the role blends rostering, systems work, onboarding and event‑day delivery to keep teams ready.
You will engage with venue teams, manage inquiries, and help with recruitment, compliance and uniforms.
From global spectacles to once-in-a-lifetime performances, Melbourne Park is where sport, entertainment, culture and community come to life. We welcome millions of guests to our precinct each year, and behind every experience are our people, working together with care and at pace to create the unforgettable.
Home to Rod Laver Arena, John Cain Arena, Margaret Court Arena, AAMI Park, CENTREPIECE and the Australian Open, we are proud to be Melbourne’s world stage.
We’re looking for an energetic and ambitious Workforce Operations Coordinator to join our People & Culture team and help keep the workforce behind some of Melbourne’s biggest events organised, supported and ready to go.
Reporting to the Workforce Development & Operations Manager, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day coordination of our Event Workforce – more than 900 customer service, security and operations team members working across multiple venues and events. It’s a large, fast-moving operation with plenty of moving parts – and that’s exactly what makes this role exciting.
This is a hands‑on coordination role where no two days will look quite the same. You’ll work across rostering and scheduling, workforce systems, communications, onboarding, event‑day operations and workforce administration, while building strong relationships with our venue and event teams across the precinct.
You’ll spend plenty of time in systems and getting the detail right, but you won’t be sitting behind a screen all day. We’re looking for someone who gets out into the business, builds rapport quickly, asks questions, follows things through and looks for ways to make things work better.
Our precinct operates seven days a week and our team works when the action happens. This is a permanent full‑time role working five days per week flexibly across Monday to Sunday, aligned to our event calendar.
You’re the kind of person who brings energy with you.
You’re proactive, curious and keen to make things happen. If something needs doing, you don’t wait to be asked twice – you jump in, work out what’s needed and follow it through.
You’ll be energised by the pace, scale and complexity of Melbourne Park – lots of people, teams, systems and moving parts don’t overwhelm you, they make you curious. You’ll be excited to build relationships across our venues, learn how a major event precinct operates and develop your career along the way.
You have:
Experience in workforce scheduling, events, hospitality, customer service, People & Culture or another fast‑paced operational environment would be great – but just as important to us is your potential, attitude and willingness to learn.
To deliver world‑class events with world‑class customer experiences, we believe in fostering working environments that support our people to thrive both personally and professionally.
